I can give you an answer but it must remain in confidence; Shepard can know, but that's all. If you have any kind of encryption, also, it may be prudent to use it.
I come from a small community of magic users. We are in the midst of civil war. Those of us here from that same world are from a variety of points in time, and most conflicts arising here are due to incomplete intelligence information resulting from that disparity. For the most part we've handled it. Sirius Black is determined to ensure nothing is handled, ever, because he is a teenager from before the public outbreak of the war and is 'upset' over it. He did not like me when we were schoolboys, and this to him justifies physically assaulting me multiple times on board and attempting to sew unrest and distrust amongst people who have actually survived that war.
In my time he is in prison for treason and the murder of twelve people; I've been told he was framed for this, but no one has yet been on board to completely corroborate that assertion. When he was sixteen he used one of his friends as an unwitting weapon to attempt to murder me, because, again, he did not like me. I have attempted to keep my distance, but he is persistently following my activities with intent to disrupt them. Bringing this matter to security is unlikely to go well, given that any campaign against him will effectively translate into advocating the imprisonment of a teenager who is currently being kept as a darling by that department.
He is charming, sociable, and friendly. He is a wizard capable of magic that can incapacitate and kill most people on board. He has a disregard for other people that borders on sociopathic that shows up most prominently when he does not get his way. He has been given a position of ostensible authority. Even as a teenager, he is not safe.
[ Nobody expects anything besides singing teacups and magic mirrors from wizards. Surprise.
The perhaps tragic thing about it is up until this moment, Severus has been extremely closed-off about the whole thing, including keeping quiet about what Sirius has done to him to an extent of inviting further harm to himself. Despite it, Sirius has been insistent that Snape must secretly be on a campaign against him - to the point where Edgeworth came after him and nearly bloody killed him over it. Now he's saying something. Trying to protect the privacy of their world is just getting people hurt. Thanks, Black. ]
Possibly. He can be unpredictable. SEC is also unpredictable; they are not made up of military or law enforcement professionals despite one or two of them being so by coincidence, they are people who have been hired via the virtue of knowing how to be effectively violent in some capacity, and that's all.
A lot of those that are trained seem to be part of Gunnery.
[ Herself included, and part of her team ]
I could talk to SEC about training, focusing some of their people. It might not do too much immediately, or for this situation, but it could ward against others.
[ Is there anyone else in your history that could be a problem? Or there? Either way, it was something that could be helpful generally ]
[ He will appreciate it being looked at, but will keep his distance. Severus has no desire to get involved with that mess. ]
Watch him. He'll treat it as a game. You can look back through the network at his behavior: that is as mature as it ever is, and only gets more malicious, not competent. If he gives anyone anything he's made or enchanted, run it by me first before anyone uses it.
If nothing happens and he behaves, I'll be shocked, but relieved. I would rather nothing come of this, but as you can see based on what I've told you, it would have been unthinkable for me to say nothing.
Anything he offers is likely to be enchanted. I imagine he'll say so, anyway, he's fond of himself and would like you to know how very clever he thinks he is.
I've heard he assaulted someone else from our world who is here, but I'm not sure of the circumstances. Otherwise I haven't been looking. I would have been happier to keep this whole thing private, to be honest. But it's obviously gone beyond me now.

Shepard mentioned moving him as a consultant between comms and SEC. You know him best. Would that be amiable to him?

If he was removed entirely what would it do?

[ On the one hand, Severus is really unfairly biased. On the other, this really has been his experience on board. ]
He'll probably have a fit. I'd rather him blame me for having his involvement limited than watch him get someone killed out there, though.

I'd like to find a solution without either of those variables. I'll talk to him, keeping you out of it. Being able to work with him would help.

Thank you for bringing it up. I'll keep you informed of what happens.

Of course. I am reachable at any time.
